In January it finally got cold enough in the Netherlands that you could skate outside. Skating is very popular in Holland and most people have the longer speed skating type skates. We went to Sandra's home town Harderwijk and joined up with her brother Paul and Jeannine and skated in the poulder. The ice was a little bit thin and you could hear it crack as you skated which made it a bit more exciting. |
