Day 1 - Wednesday
What time do I have to get up?
After convincing the travel agent that it would be in her and the agencies best interest to fix the problem we were once again on our way to New York.

We left from Amsterdam at eight in the morning, stopped in Brussels and arrived at JFK airport at four in the afternoon. We took a cab to our posh hotel, the Alladin which was located in the heart of Times Square. It certainly wasn't luxurious, but the room was clean, one minute walk to times square subway, and a view of the Empire state building for our window.

Notice the time!!

Da plane boss!

Do we look awake?

We checked in, took a walk around the area, got our first look at Central Park, 5th Ave, and Broadway, and ate some cheap pizza then called it a night.

Always Coca-Cola!

Day 2 - Thursday
Have feet will walk...
A totally beautiful day, we decided to got walking around the city. And boy did we walk... and walk, and walk. We checked out Greenwich Village, the financial district and Wall street, and Battery Park.

From there we walked to the Brooklyn Bridge and discovered a large protest going on. The people from Haiti were protesting the unfairness of the Police and Mayor Giuliani. Behind the protesters followed a huge police force in riot gear. We crossed over the bridge and walked around Brooklyn a bit before taking the subway back to China Town.

By the time we got back it was late. We got some food and promptly fell fast asleep!

Vertigo anyone?

Day 3 - Friday
Culture anyone?
Weather was not so good today, so we walked up 5th Ave., and checked out all the toy stores, then we went to the Metropolitan Museum. It was really big!

We also visited the famous F.A.O. Swartz toy store (the one in the movie Big) I wanted to stay there for the rest of the week, but alas, there is more to life than just toys!

That evening we saw a Broadway musical called The Wild Party which was quite good. The star was Toni Collette, or Muriel from Muriel's Wedding.
