Amsterdam
The rollover to year 2000 came and went with nothing but a whimper,
although you wouldn't have known it from listening to the fireworks in
Amsterdam - wow that was a lot of noise. Sandra and I went to Canada
for two weeks to celebrate Christmas with my family. It was a bit
rushed as I was determined to eat every single bit of food in
Vancouver! It was good to catch up with my friends who fortunately
were almost all in town for the Holidays. After driving back and
forth to Vancouver almost daily it was nice to spend a couple of
quieter days at my parents for Christmas itself.

In January Rob came to visit which was fun. We rented a car and drove
to the south of the Netherland and even into Belgium. Of course for
Canadians 600km driving in a day is nothing special.
